Ravenglass Village – Where The Lake District meets the sea

Welcome to Ravenglass, the only coastal village in the Lake District National Park. A perfect base to explore the Western Lakes.
On this site you’ll find lots of information about the village and the surrounding area; things to do; places to stay; eating and drinking.
Did you know that Hadrian’s Wall started at Ravenglass? You can visit the remains of a Roman bath-house. The Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow-gauge steam railway has its terminus in the village. Muncaster Castle is just up the road. Sit and enjoy the stunning views over the estuary – you wouldn’t believe the sunsets.
The ancient village nestles along the estuaries of three rivers, the Esk, Mite, and Irt, on the edge of the Irish Sea with the Lakeland fells rising majestically behind. Ravenglass is the only coastal village within the Lake District National Park and the majority of the village is classified as a conservation area. It is close to the stunning valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale. England’s highest mountain, deepest lake, smallest church and Britain’s favourite view are just a short drive away.

We like to think we’re one of the best places in the entire Lake District National Park. Want to check out the best casino online? Go to http://superbcasinos.com.
